Meet Our Team

  • Karen

My name is Karen, I am an native to Colorado Springs and have been grooming locally since 1986! Proud to say I am an "old school" groomer🐩. I truly believe I was put here on this Earth to make dogs beautiful, and it’s been my passion and pleasure in doing so!

My specialty lies in undercoat removal and de-shedding very large breeds. Because I was trained by a standard poodle breeder, I truly enjoy grooming poodles🐩.

My other passion, besides being a mother, is horses. I have been given the opportunity to pursue equine massage, which I discovered might be more healing for me than for the horses.🙂🐴

  • Kami

My name is Kami and I have been grooming dogs for 19 years! I attended a formal grooming academy in Albuquerque, New Mexico, but I have been grooming here in the Springs consistently since 2006.

When I was 8 years old all my friends were out of town for summer. I spent that lonely time training my old dog how to rollover, jump through hoops and play dead. She was my only friend. That summer, the first Petco in my town opened and my mom and I were excited to go. We ended up buying some grooming tools so I could help keep my dog clean and brushed between her regular groomings. It was that year I decided that I wanted to be a dog groomer. Not many people end up becoming what they dreamed of as a kid, but I am lucky enough to have been given that gift.

I really enjoy grooming anything that gets a teddy bear face. I also love grooming Terriers, Westies, Scotties, Schnauzers. I love and pamper all the pets who visit me, but I have a particular soft spot for our senior friends.

Grooming is not just a job for me, it is truly a passion and I am looking forward to continuing to pamper, spoil and transform local pets for many more years to come.

  • Brittny

Hi, I’m Brittny! I’ve switched between Grooming and Nursing for the past 16 years and always find myself going back to Grooming, because I love what I do. Grooming has always been a passion of mine, and I love making your furry loved ones look adorable.

I have a Cavalier King Charles Spaniel, Pomeranian, Tabby, and a Leopard Gecko at home that I enjoy spoiling.

I really enjoy grooming Golden Retrievers, Newfoundlands, Great Pyrenees, and anything large and hairy. I adore all animals and can’t wait to make yours look and feel amazing 🐾

  • Zoe

    Zoe

My name is Zoe, and I have been working with dogs in multiple capacities for the past 10 years. In fact, I have been an animal enthusiast and advocate my entire life. I love coming in to work each day as it offers me the opportunity to meet new furry friends as well as reunite with past acquaintances! I believe my strength in grooming lies in my ability to connect with animals to create a calm, loving space for them. Outside of work, I enjoy hiking, camping, snowboarding, and surfing (that is, whenever I get the chance to travel to the beach). I simply love our team at Stubby’s. We are all passionate about pampering your pet!

  • Sveta

    Sveta

Hi! My name is Sveta! I was born in Ukraine, moved to Minnesota in 1994, and moved to Colorado in 2021. From a young age, animals (especially dogs!) were a passion of mine and I wanted to learn everything I could about these amazing friends we share our homes and lives with. After graduating high school in Minnesota, I received a Bachelor’s degree in Animal Science from the University of Minnesota. I continue to learn and grow as a self proclaimed animal expert while I pursue an Associate’s in Veterinary Technology. I discovered grooming in 2019, and it’s the best job I have had so far—getting to make dogs look and feel better every day. I strive to help every dog live a healthier and happier life through educating myself on and off the grooming table. I look forward to meeting you and your best friend soon!

  • Kay

    Kay

Hi I'm Kay and this is my pup Malachai.
I've been a dog groomer for the past seven years and it is my absolute passion. My parents told me they knew I would work with animals ever since I was five, when I would brush the family dog out during shed season for fun. I have always felt connected to animals, and working with them is a privilege. I love getting to know different pups and figuring out how to communicate with them in a way that they understand. I think every dog is different and I enjoy getting to know them and their specific needs. I love all dogs, but my favorites are Pitbulls, Shetland Sheepdogs, and Pomeranians. I'd love to meet yours!

  • Chantille

Hello, my name is Chantille. I have loved animals for as long as I can remember, and I even started my own dog washing business when I was just 10 years old! I have definitely come along way from washing dogs with a hose in my neighbors driveways to professional grooming for the past 14 years. I enjoy learning new techniques and look forward to advancing my grooming knowledge through continuous education and training. My favorite grooms to do are cute teddy bear styles on poodles and doodles and de-shedding hairy dogs. I love making dogs look and feel great!

  • Ella

    Ella

My name is Ella! I was born and raised in Colorado Springs. My love for animals started at a very young age, as we have always had a dog or 5 in our house. I have a real passion for poodles. My pup’s name is Oliver (also known as Handsome), a poodle mix from National Mill Dog Rescue. He is the reason why I do what I do. I really look forward to working with you and your pups and sharing my extensive knowledge about pet nutrition to help your furry friends live their best life.

  • Aitana

    Aitana

Hi! I’m Tana and I am the Office Manager here at Stubby’s. I take care of and love your pets as if they are my own. I take pride in what I do and make sure every dog is not only loved, but also taken care of in a clean, safe and comfortable environment. I have loved animals since I was a little girl and have always had at least one dog or cat in my house. I live with my amazing family, my two beautiful baby girls, and 4 dogs. A perfect day for me would consist of lots of walks and play times, ending in snuggles from all the dogs…..of course with my kiddos! I can’t wait to meet your fur baby!
