  • Kami

My name is Kami and I have been grooming dogs for 21 years! I attended a formal grooming academy in Albuquerque, New Mexico, but I have been grooming here in the Springs consistently since 2006.

When I was 8 years old all my friends were out of town for summer. I spent that lonely time training my old dog how to rollover, jump through hoops and play dead. She was my only friend. That summer, the first Petco in my town opened and my mom and I were excited to go. We ended up buying some grooming tools so I could help keep my dog clean and brushed between her regular groomings. It was that year I decided that I wanted to be a dog groomer. Not many people end up becoming what they dreamed of as a kid, but I am lucky enough to have been given that gift.

I really enjoy grooming anything that gets a teddy bear face. I also love grooming Terriers, Westies, Scotties, Schnauzers. I love and pamper all the pets who visit me, but I have a particular soft spot for our senior friends.

Grooming is not just a job for me, it is truly a passion and I am looking forward to continuing to pamper, spoil and transform local pets for many more years to come.

  • Brittny

Hi, I’m Brittny! I’ve switched between Grooming and Nursing for the past 16 years and always find myself going back to Grooming, because I love what I do. Grooming has always been a passion of mine, and I love making your furry loved ones look adorable.

I have a Cavalier King Charles Spaniel, Pomeranian, Tabby, and a Leopard Gecko at home that I enjoy spoiling.

I really enjoy grooming Golden Retrievers, Newfoundlands, Great Pyrenees, and anything large and hairy. I adore all animals and can’t wait to make yours look and feel amazing 🐾

  • Kelly

    Hi, I’m Kelly! 👋🏼
I’ve been grooming pets since 2018 and have loved every day of it!

Growing up people always ask “what do you want to be when you grow up?” I always knew I wanted to work with animals and my answer always varied from being a vet, working in a zoo, a marine biologist, and anything in between. In 2018, I started walking dogs part time and one particular boy (a golden retriever named Oliver) reminded me that I wouldn’t be satisfied with just any job, I needed to work with animals! That led me to search for a job with dog training which then landed me into grooming and I haven’t looked back. This is the perfect career for me. I love the satisfaction of seeing a dog look and feel their best.

My favorite breeds include pit bulls, shih tzus, all the puppies, and of course anything poodled! My main priority with grooming is the health of your pets, but I also love having fun with it! For pets that tolerate it, I love creative grooming with color and coat carving, keeping up with trends and styles, as well as any unconventional requests. I look forward to meeting your pups!

  • Sam

Hi! I’m Sam, I am a United States Air Force Veteran. I started working with pets a few years ago. I have 3 dogs of my own, 2 rescues and a doodle! I got my first dog when I was 19 years old and she was the love of my life. When she passed back in 2022, I thought I would never be able to get over the loss. But working with dogs every day and getting to enjoy their company, and silliness, really helped me through it. I love working with puppies and showing them that getting groomed is not bad, it’s fun! I love senior pups and enjoy all my really big de-sheds. I care for and love every dog I get to groom like my own. I would love to meet all your pups!

  • Chris

My name is Chris and I have been grooming for over 8 years. I love all animals, but dogs are my favorite pastime. I have 4 of them! I believe each dog is unique and requires special attention and treatment. After all, dogs are individuals and each one has different needs just like humans.

I am newer to Colorado and am loving the community. I owned my own grooming salon in Arkansas, but at am so glad to call Colorado Springs my new home.

I look forward to giving your dog the care and attention he/she deserves!

  • Zoe

    Zoe

My name is Zoe, and I have been working with dogs in multiple capacities for the past 10 years. In fact, I have been an animal enthusiast and advocate my entire life. I love coming in to work each day as it offers me the opportunity to meet new furry friends as well as reunite with past acquaintances! I believe my strength in grooming lies in my ability to connect with animals to create a calm, loving space for them. Outside of work, I enjoy hiking, camping, snowboarding, and surfing (that is, whenever I get the chance to travel to the beach). I simply love our team at Stubby’s. We are all passionate about pampering your pet!

  • Ella ~ Monument

    Ella ~ Monument

My name is Ella! I was born and raised in Colorado Springs. My love for animals started at a very young age, as we have always had a dog or 5 in our house. I have a real passion for poodles. My pup’s name is Oliver (also known as Handsome), a poodle mix from National Mill Dog Rescue. He is the reason why I do what I do. I really look forward to working with you and your pups and sharing my extensive knowledge about pet nutrition to help your furry friends live their best life.

  • Dey ~ Monument

Hi, I’m Dey! I went to the grooming academy in 2012 and have over 10 years experience. I specialize in the safety and happiness of your pet all while confidently grooming them to your standards.

My favorite dogs to groom are those with specialty breed standard cuts, Asian fusion style grooming and unique cuts that match the personality of the pet! I love anything from cute and fluffy to mullets with a mustache. I’m just happy to spend an hour or two with your baby.

As a Great Dane owner I have no fear of large dogs and absolutely adore them. I have a passion for what I do and would absolutely love to meet you and your pet!

  • Kirsten ~ Monument

My name is Kirsten, I have 2 beautiful children, 2 dogs : A giant schnoodle, a husky, and a cat.

I have 13 years of experience in the grooming industry and I am still in love with my career!

I am a self-taught groomer who has worked side by side with multiple professional groomers, learning new and different techniques. My favorite breed to work on are poodles and doodles, as they are breeds that can be sculpted.

For a long time, I looked at grooming as a job, not a career. Over a period of 5 years, I pursued grooming on and off.  I decided to go for a Masters’ Degree in Art therapy. That way I could help people, and keep creating art. However, the degree did not provide a continuous happiness that I could hold on to. I obtained the degree and ultimately decided grooming was my path.

I am hoping that not one, but both my children will have an opportunity to learn grooming and will work side by side when l decide to open my own salon. Until then I get the honor to work with the team at Stubby's Dog Grooming in Monument, where the environment is clean and stress-free for all animals and humans.

  • Aitana

    Aitana

Hi! I’m Tana and I am the Office Manager here at Stubby’s. I take care of and love your pets as if they are my own. I take pride in what I do and make sure every dog is not only loved, but also taken care of in a clean, safe and comfortable environment. I have loved animals since I was a little girl and have always had at least one dog or cat in my house. I live with my amazing family, my two beautiful baby girls, and 4 dogs. A perfect day for me would consist of lots of walks and play times, ending in snuggles from all the dogs…..of course with my kiddos! I can’t wait to meet your fur baby!
