Frequently Asked Questions
FAQ’s
-
How long will it take to groom my pet?
It usually takes 2-3 hours for small dogs and 3-4 hours for larger dogs. Cats can take a bit longer if they require a bath. Please note, these are estimated times and can vary by the pet and day.
-
How often should I bring my pet in for grooming?
We recommend our clients have their pets groomed every 6-8 weeks. This helps with proper hygiene and lessens the chance your pet will develop mats.
-
What factors affect my dogs groom price?
We always try to provide our clients with a price range of what we estimate the groom to cost. Factors that can affect that price include: coat type, size of pet, matting, technicality of the groom, if additional assistance is needed to complete the groom, amount of time it takes to “deshed” the pet, age of the animal.
-
Can I stay with my pet while it is being groomed?
Unfortunately due to insurance reasons, we can not allow pet parents in the grooming areas. In addition, pets are notorious for becoming anxious when their owner is around. This makes it difficult for the pet and the groomer to have a successful grooming session.
-
How long do I have to pick up my pet once their groom is finished?
We ask that you pick up your pet(s) within an hour of us calling to notify you that they are ready to be picked up. If you are unable to pick up your pet within that time frame, we are happy to care for your pet for an additional $10 daycare fee.
-
What vaccinations are required for my pet to be groomed?
The State of Colorado requires that all pets over the age of 16 weeks have a valid Rabies Vaccine.
-
Can you just do a nail trim?
Yes! We do nail trims on a walk-in basis, Tuesday through Saturday from 8:30am to 3:30pm.
-
Do you offer 1-on-1 grooming or kennel-free grooming?
Yes, we do offer 1-on-1 grooming where your pet is worked on by the groomer and not placed in a kennel to dry. These are considered express appointments and are offered for an additional $20.
